About Us

Detesk s.r.o. is a company engaged in the processing of borosilicate glass and wood production, primarily supperting the main glass manufacturing.

We produce gift bottles from borosilicate glass, mainly intended for filling with alcohol, as well as beverage, utility and decorative glass.

A significant part of our production is dedicated to manufacturing technical and laboratory glass, with an increasing share of production focused on lighting project.
Wood has become a desired complement to our products, so we included wood production in our program in 2003.

One of the company’s primary goals is to combine aesthetics and functionality as effectively as possible. We dedicate significant efforts to strengthening the Detesk brand as a symbol of uniqueness, quality, and reliability.

History

A new hall is successfully completed. According to plan, the production preparation department is relocated there.

The project "Construction of a Production Hall" begins at the Detesk site on Příkrá Street.
Following the approval process, all construction and reconstruction work at the Detesk site in Železný Brod, Poříčí, is completed. The building has been rebuilt into a multi-purpose building, in addition to wood production and warehouses, there is a department of assembly and mechanical processing of glass. Another part of the building is dedicated to representational purposes.

Detesk s.r.o. signs a contract with Regionální stavební Liberec, s.r.o. for the reconstruction of the former ŽBS corporate headquarters in Železný Brod, Poříčí.
The building on Železný Brod’s main square is fully open to the public. The ground floor houses a representative store, while other areas feature a collection of artistic glass and Železný Brod figurines, a wine shop, and a gallery.

The company's representative store is opened in the newly renovated building’s ground floor.
The successful final inspection confirmed that the representative building at 3. května Square in Železný Brod is ready to fulfill its purpose.

The winner of the tender, Liberec-based Regionální stavební s.r.o., has started work on the complete reconstruction and extension of our building on the Železný Brod town square.

Detesk s.r.o. signs an agreement with JABLONEX GROUP, a.s., acquiring the former Železnobrodské Sklo administrative building, adjacent plots, and a parking lot. The facility is used for storage, and the wood production is relocated there from leased premises.
A new representative store is opened in the Plaza shopping center in Liberec.

The company Detesk purchased building No. 20 on May 3rd Square in Železný Brod.

After the completion of the construction of the administrative and production building, the last employees will move to the new premises.
The company Detesk presents itself on public for the first time. It exhibits a range of gift bottles and accessories at one of the largest European events of its kind, the PROWEIN trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. This marks the beginning of Detesk's participation in the most significant global trade fairs related to the alcoholic beverage industry, laboratory supplies, and lighting.

After completing the reconstruction and expansion of production halls in 2001, the next stage of the site’s development began with the construction of the administrative and production building.
The company Detesk s.r.o. is established, becoming the successor of the original firm by purchasing shares from the previous owners, who were private individuals.

To support the sale of gift bottles, particularly those intended for filling with alcoholic beverages, wood production is introduced into the manufacturing program. Since the company's premises could not provide space for this, a facility was rented in nearby Svahová Street.
The building in Příkrá Street is undergoing extensive reconstruction and extension, and production is gradually being transferred to the new workshops from the original unsuitable premises.

In the purchased area, a hall for storage of glass raw material is built.
Rapid growth requires a solution. To implement the company’s plans, an industrial building in Příkrá Street, Železný Brod, is purchased.

New workplaces are equipped with necessary facilities, and the first employee joins the company.
The increasing production volume and vision for the young company's future require the rental of larger production facilities. These rented buildings were later purchased from their original owners.

Ivan Kalousek, the founder of Detesk, obtains a business license. Until mid-1992, he worked alone, producing small decorative items from borosilicate glass in his home workshop. Many of his designs from this period are still produced not only by glassmakers in Železný Brod today.
